Although pricing information for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Electric Truck is not yet available, the starting price range for the Sierra EV is estimated between a MSRP of $50,000 to $107,000. Price estimations based on each trim level are as follows:

• Elevation - $55,000 MSRP (est.)
• AT4 - $65,000 MSRP (est.)
• Denali - $80,000 MSRP (est.)
• Denali Edition 1 - $107,000 MSRP (GMC Reservations are Full)

It has been highlighted that the Sierra 1500 EV will be more affordable compared to the Hummer EV Pickup, which has a starting, entry-level MSRP of $79,995. We will update this section as more concrete information is released on confirmed price points.

Interior Design & Features

Similar to the GMC Hummer EV, the electric GMC Sierra Denali EV will be purposefully built on the Ultium Platform with the premium materials. The GMC Sierra EV will offer a large 16.8" diagonal interior media-screen with more room for music, navigation, entertainment, and safety. Expect the inclusion of new, advanced driver-assistance technology as standard tech on Denali trim levels such as the GMC Super Cruise that debuted with the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. The entire cabin of the Sierra has been reimagined to take on a new era of electric luxury driving with a sleek and tidy dashboard that houses the expansive vertical center touch-screen that is easy-to-see and easy-to-use, just like your smartphone and tablet. 

Exterior Design & Dimensions

The exterior design of the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali EV brings the future to trucks. It offers a fully enclosed illuminated front grille with a futuristic look and feel. An aerodynamic front fascia with angular accents and vertical air curtains makes this vehicle a one of a kind while on the road. It also offers a spacious frunk (front trunk) that allows plenty of room for cargo, tools, supplies, or whatever the trip ahead might need. The exterior dimensions of the Sierra EV have not been released yet, and although the dimensions may end up being similar to the GMC Sierra 1500 (its gas-powered counterpart) measured around 232-242" L x 81" W x 75-78" H, we will still confirm that once the information is readily available. It is expected for the model to have 8 exterior colors, ranging from black, white, purple, and red as a few examples.

Powertrain, Horsepower, Torque

In comparison to a competing electric vehicle, such as the 2022 Rivian R1T, the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali is delivering more comfortability and convenience. The Sierra EV will contain GM's Ultimum battery which is expected to provide up to 400 miles of range per full charge, which is more than the GMC Hummer EV's 350-mile range. After initial reports expected the electric Sierra to have close to 1,000 horsepower, the GMC Sierra EV has now been confirmed to have 754 horsepower and 785 lb.-ft. of torque in max power mode. This all-electric Sierra is as quick as it is powerful with a confirmed 0-60mph acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds.

Range, Charging, Battery Specs

Based on previous models, it is estimated that a rear-wheel-drive one-motor setup may be standard, which an all-wheel drive optional with a two-motor setup. The all-electric GMC Sierra EV might offer a three-motor setup like the Hummer EV with higher trim levels. After the official reveal, GMC has confirmed that the Sierra EV has an estimated range of 400 miles. This range could vary on an Ultimum battery when switching between a possible two-motor or three-motor powertrain, which would be based on the trim level or packages purchased.

Towing Capacity & Payload Rating

Based on research on this upcoming electric vehicle, the GMC Sierra EV has plenty of towing power and can easily compete against other electric models on the market. The GMC Sierra EV will have a max trailering towing capacity up to 9,500 pounds while the payload rating is still undisclosed. With a max of 754 horsepower and 785 lb.-ft. of torque, the payload rating of the Sierra EV will likely fall within the 1,000-2,000 pound range. However, we will update this section with more information once the payload specs are released and confirmed by GMC.
